NO SWIMMING AT THE SWIM CLUB…

(because, there is no pool at Valley Swim Club ;))

SWIM CLUB is a California clam shack - a fast-casual seafood restaurant with a contemporary, farm-to-table approach and all the delights of “the diner.”  It is a place to spend the day or take the mood (and the food) home with you.

Swim Club references classic poolside, seaside and roadside traditions, as well as the spirit that imbues them. Swim Club exists where New England  flavors, surf aesthetics and late 60s California Naturalism intersect. The name is historically grounded by the healing pools underneath Sonoma, the sacred mineral waters integral to the lives of local Native Americans - as well as the enterprising colonizers that founded the area around Swim Club known as the Springs.  It pays homage to the all-but-now disappeared bathing culture that was integral to the development of the Springs, an economy that emerged as a wellness and vacation retreat for those accessing the magical waters. It is also inspired by the Olompali Swim Club, the commune from the summer of ‘66 where the nascent Grateful Dead and their Chosen Family lived on a nearby Marin County estate,  then migrated to neighboring Sonoma enclaves. Through culinary and design choices, Swim Club gives visibility to this  important hidden history, while simultaneously advancing the culture by creating space for new social milieus.
